(Undated) — Former President Donald Trump is criticizing two U.S. senators, saying they should have done more to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump issued a statement yesterday saying Republican Senators Mike Lee of Utah and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina should be ashamed of themselves for not fighting hard enough on his behalf. The statement comes after the release of a new book that details how Lee and Graham investigated claims of election fraud made by Trump following the election. “Peril” by veteran journalist Bob Woodward and Robert Costa of the Washington Post shows that the two senators dismissed Trump’s claims after calling officials in several swing states and finding no support for overturning the results of the election.
