BICKNELL, Utah-Kelser Blood posted seven strikeouts and the Piute Thunderbirds edged Wayne 4-3 Wednesday in 1-A South baseball action. Jake Batty had 2 RBI in the loss for the Badgers.

HURRICANE, Utah-Klyn Fullmer drove in four runs and Kyler Bennett recorded three strikeouts as the Panguitch Bobcats pounded Diamond Ranch 23-2 in 1-A South baseball play Wednesday.

TROPIC, Utah-Klincey Richerds drove in two runs, Joel Romo pitched five innings of scoreless ball with eight strikeouts and the Bryce Valley Mustangs beat Valley 5-2 Wednesday in 1A South Region baseball action. Milo Atwood added a double in the win for the Mustangs.

Volleyball

Region 20

HURRICANE, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats steamrolled Diamond Ranch 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Bobcats prevailed 25-5, 25-10, 25-16.

TROPIC, Utah-The Wayne Badgers earned a straight set sweep over Bryce Valley 3-0 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. Wayne won 25-19, 25-17, 26-24,

ESCALANTE, Utah-The Escalante Moquis won 3-0 over Water Canyon in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Moquis prevailed 25-16, 25-11, 25-22.

MILFORD, Utah-JaLeana Tsosie had 18 kills and five aces as the Milford Tigers won a five set thriller over Valley 3-2 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Tigers won 27-25, 25-16, 10-25, 20-25, 15-8. Paige James had 30 assists in the victory.

Non-Region

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The North Sanpete Hawks routed South Summit 3-0 in non-region volleyball play Wednesday.

Girls Tennis

GUNNISON, Utah-The South Sevier Rams beat Gunnison Valley 4-1 Wednesday in girls tennis action. South Sevier won in 2nd singles with Katelynn Sorenson, 3rd singles with Emmalie Peterson, Taysia Thompson and Nevaeh Kelley won in 1st doubles and the Rams also won in 2nd doubles. The Bulldogs won in 1st singles.
