SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities have arrested a teenager in connection with the death of an 18-year-old man who was fatally shot in front of a home in a southwest Salt Lake City suburb.
The Deseret News reported Saturday that the 17-year-old boy was arrested for investigation of homicide and aggravated robbery.
Police say officers responded to the Magna home to reports of several shots fired on Thursday night.
Witnesses told detectives two men in a sedan drove up in front of the residence and began talking to 18-year-old Tristen Mogadam before opening fire.
Police say Mogadam walked back inside the house before he collapsed.
Emergency crews tried to resuscitate him before transporting him to a hospital where he later died.
Mogadam lived at the home with his brother and two roommates.
