CEDAR CITY, Utah-In news from Wednesday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball head coach Todd Simon received an extension through the 2026-27 season.

Simon led SUU to their first Big Sky Conference regular season title during the 2020-21 season.

The T-Birds were also among the most prolific offensive teams in the nation last season. SUU averaged 84.2 points per game in 2020-21, ranking them 6th nationally.

Simon is 73-82 (.471) entering his sixth season at SUU.

The T-Birds’ season commences November 18 at Berkeley, Calif. against Pac-12 foe California as part of the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tipoff.
