JUNCTION, Utah-Brooks Dalton posted 3 RBI and the Piute Thunderbirds edged Wayne 9-8 Tuesday in 1A South baseball action. Gavin Morgan’s 12 strikeouts led Piute in the victory on the mound. Ammon Peterson and Hunter Mitchell had 2 RBI apiece in defeat for the Badgers.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Layton Spencer was 3-4 with a double and 3 RBI as the Valley Buffaloes run-ruled Bryce Valley 12-2 Tuesday in 1A South Region baseball action. Ivan Spencer earned the win on the mound for Valley.

PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats earned a run-rule 10-0 shutout victory over Diamond Ranch in 1A South Region baseball action Tuesday.

DELTA, Utah-Kate Robinson and Abigail Evensen had 2 goals apiece and the Richfield Wildcats bested Delta 5-3 in non-region girls soccer play Tuesday. Rebecca Poulsen also scored for Richfield in the win. Meg Nielson had 2 goals in the loss for the Rabbits and Kate Smith also scored for Delta in defeat.

MAGNA, Utah-Breanne Wayman and Kaylee Parry each scored a pair of goals and the Manti Templars hammered Cyprus 8-0 Tuesday in non-region girls soccer play. Rachel Tanner, Brooklyn Olson, Sadie Nielsen and Kara Borst also scored for Manti in the rout. Brynlee Wathen earned the shutout for the Templars.

GUNNISON, Utah-The Emery Spartans pounded the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs 6-0 in non-region girls soccer play Tuesday.
