Weber State Is No. 6 Nationally In Stats Perform Preseason Poll

OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State received a No. 6 ranking in the STATS perform preseason poll.

Defending national champion from the spring season, Sam Houston, obtained the No. 1 ranking.

The Bearkats were followed by James Madison, South Dakota State, North Dakota State and Delaware.

Fellow Big Sky teams joining the Wildcats in the rankings include Montana (No. 9), Eastern Washington (No. 11), Montana State (No. 12) and UC Davis (No. 23).

This is the fourth straight season the Wildcats have been ranked in the top 10 in the STATS preseason poll.

Weber State has ranked in the top 10 nationally for 34 straight polls, dating back to October 2018.

The Wildcats were ranked as high as No. 2 last season.

Weber State has won four consecutive Big Sky Conference titles.

Head coach Jay Hill is currently in his eighth season as the Wildcats’ head coach.

He is 52-31 (.627) as Weber State’s head coach and 39-14 (.736) in Big Sky play.
