TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-Thursday, BYU football junior receiver Gunner Romney was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List.

This award recognizes FBS college football’s most outstanding pass catcher. Those eligible include receivers, tight ends, tailbacks and slot backs.

Romney, the only Utah-based college football player nominated for this award, ranked 15th nationally in yards per catch (19.7) in 2020. This also led the Cougars in that statistic.

The 6-3 195-pound native of Chandler, Ariz. posted 39 grabs for 767 yards and 2 TD’s in 2020.

For his Cougars career, he has 83 receptions for 1,306 yards and six touchdown catches.
