Structure Fire in Central Valley

On June 12, authorities responded to call about a shed that was on fire in Central Valley. Upon arrival the shed was fully engulfed in flames, but the Richfield City Fire Department was able to put out the blaze. EMS checked on the property owner who had suffered minor burns on his legs and arms.

According to reports the property owner had been burning weeds and left the area to do some yard work and was alerted to the fire by one of his neighbors. The individuals suffered the burns while trying to save a vehicle from inside the shed.
A fence near the shed was also damaged and burnt by the fire, but the owner and his neighbor were able to use a garden hose to keep a trailer and other property from catching fire.
