SALT LAKE CITY (AP)-Tuesday afternoon, numerous news outlets in Salt Lake City reported Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints President Thomas S. Monson was hospitalized.

The Church reported President Monson was not feeling well “last evening” (Monday) and admitted to the hospital.

In the interim, he has received treatment, the Church reported, and fluids. The hope is that he shall be released soon.

President Monson is 89 and would celebrate his 90th birthday August 21.
