(Washington, DC) – Members of Utah’s congressional delegation are praising President Trump’s decision to conduct airstrikes in Syria. Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz tweeted “God bless the USA” last night following the announcement of the airstrikes. GOP Congressman Chris Stewart also supported the strikes, saying in a statement that “other tyrants around the world” are taking note of the attack. Republican Senator Orrin Hatch tweeted a Bible verse, saying “No child of God should ever suffer such horror.” The airstrikes came in response to a chemical weapons attack on Tuesday that killed dozens of civilians.Â
