MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a 51-year-old woman fell to her death during a hike near the Colorado-Utah border.
Rose Zaldivar, of Eckert, went hiking near Paradox on April 2 and was reporting missing to the Montrose County Sheriff’s Office on April 6. The Montrose Daily Press reports family members found the woman beneath a cliff about 1.5 miles from a friend’s home.
The county coroner says Eckert suffered from multiple traumatic injuries. Her death has been ruled an accident.
