Ephraim’s City Council voted to increase the cities impact fees from $6,269 to $14,440. Impact fees are used as a way for municipalities to deal with growth.

The four categories that will be raised include wastewater, culinary water, roads and parks and recreation. Wastewater has been raised from $1,107 to $1,490, this includes putting in new sewer lines. Culinary water is being raised from $3,812 to $6,067 as new wells and pipes will be put in. Roads will be raised from $900 to $2,393. Parks and recreation is taking the largest leap, going from $450 to $4,500.
