OREM, Utah-Former Richfield High girls basketball star Emma Jones posted 13 points on 3-5 shooting as the Utah Valley Wolverines overpowered NCAA Division III La Verne 86-79 in non-conference women’s basketball action Thursday.
Jones shot 3-5 from the field, including 3-4 behind the arc and went 4-4 at the foul line to help the Wolverines pull away from the Leopards of La Verne, Calif.
Jones also netted three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 31 minutes of action for the Wolverines.
Utah Valley is next in action Saturday at 3:00 pm as they host the Portland Pilots of the West Coast Conference.
