Two pilots are recovering after their plane crashed in Sevier County Thursday evening.

The 2-person glider they were in, got into trouble and started into a downward spiral and they ejected. The backseat pilot, Spence Chanthavane then walked for three hours to find someone to flag down and call 911.

According to Sevier County Sheriff, Nate Curtis, Search and Rescue crews searched for the plane and found the other pilot, David Nadler, who was flown via helicopter to a waiting ambulance.

The crash is being investigated by the FAA and NTSB.

The glider went down near Rock Canyon and Water Canyon.
