Statewide Areas of Valley and Mountain Road Snow

Forecast Period: 2 A.M. MON through 6 A.M. TUE

A cold front will be pushing through the state early Monday morning through Monday evening. The main threat is for significant valley and mountain road snow along the I-15 corridor from the Idaho border south to Cedar City. This concern includes the northern metro valleys Monday morning and afternoon, possibly impacting both commutes. Snow showers taper off by mid to late afternoon west of the Wasatch and central/southern mountain. Mountain routes will hang on to snow showers through Monday night, prolonging the period of for road weather concerns into Tuesday morning.

Motorists are advised to use caution and TravelWise. Motorists heading up canyon and mountain routes should be prepared for chain restrictions at any time during snow events.

The following routes will experience weather-related travel concerns during the forecast period:

  • I-70, East of Cove Fort to Fremont Jct.; Crescent Jct. to CO border
