AUBURN HILLS, Mich.-As an injury-ravaged career draws ever closer to completion, Antonio McDyess realizes his chances to win a championship grow more slim with every passing season. McDyess did his part to get into position for a title run Monday evening in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals as he posted 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 94-75 pasting of the Boston Celtics at the Palace of Auburn Hills. After a mediocre performance in Game 3 Saturday, the Pistons came out with a new resolve to get back in the series and they were successful as they held the Celtics to an anemic 31 percent shooting from the field. Nevertheless, Boston hung around via their success at the foul line as they made 82 percent of their free throws. The Pistons broke the game open in the closing moments when Richard Hamilton (20 points) made several big shots down the stretch while Chauncey Billups overcame an overall subpar performance to hit a clutch 3-pointer midway through the fourth quarter. Rasheed Wallace and Jason Maxiell added 14 points apiece for the Pistons, while Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce each amassed 16 points to lead the Celtics.
