LUBBOCK, Texas-Although the BIG 12 is known for its football prowess (and rightfully so), the basketball in this conference has proven to be good this season as well. The Red Raiders used a 15-6 run early in the second half to build a 60-38 lead, and when Kansas State pulled within six at 64-58, Texas Tech proceeded to make eight of 13 free throws and was thus able to keep the Wildcats at bay.
