TUCSON, Ariz.-Niu Takai had 18 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns as the Snow Badgers decimated the Pima Aztecs, 58-21 Saturday afternoon at Ampitheatre High School. The Badgers swiftly built a double-digit lead as QB Houston Erbstoesser hit receiver Adam Frandsen on a pair of touchdown tosses to help build a 21-7 lead early in the first half. From that point on, Soni Sotele (162 rushing yards and three scores) and Takai spearheaded a rushing attack which led to 383 rushing yards on the game. Overall, the Badgers amassed 518 yards of offense but once again the #1 team in the land’s stout defense defined their excellence as while they allowed 208 passing yards, they only surrendered 155 net yards because of their effectiveness against the run. Because of various sacks and high snaps, the Badgers’ defense held the Aztecs to -53 net rushing yards. Next week, Snow hits the road once again as they battle the Scottsdale Artichokes at Scottsdale, Ariz.
