(New Orleans) Keith Bulluck amassed three interceptions to stymie the once-potent New Orleans offense as the Tennessee Titans hammered the New Orleans Saints, 31-14 Monday evening at the Louisiana Superdome. From the get-go, the Saints had a difficult time competing with the surprisingly powerful Titans as with four interceptions from QB Drew Brees, New Orleans had difficulty keeping up with an efficient Tennessee team led by Vince Young. The former Texas star threw two touchdown passes and made big plays consistently against a beleagured Saints defense. Despite their numerous shortcomings, New Orleans still had a shot as they trailed just 24-14 late in the fourth quarter, but their hopes were dashed as Titans cornerback Vincent Fuller returned Brees’ fourth interception 56 yards for the clinching score. Both of these teams head into byes next week, which bodes better for the Titans as they enter their off week with a 2-1 mark while New Orleans must maintain focus after an 0-3 start.
