Lowry Fire Update

(Scipio) The Lowry fire continues to burn about six mile east of Scipio in Millard county today. The fire was started on Monday by lightning and has grown to more than 1500 acres over the last two days. Containment on the fire is zero percent. The fire is burning in pinyon, juniper, and oak brush. Afternoon winds have also added to the situation by driving the fire through areas of heavy fuel. No structures are threatened at this time.
