<body>(SALT LAKE CITY) &#8211; Wetter-than-normal weather in June has hurt Utah&#8217;s summer fruit crop.
The Deseret News reported that 30% of all sweet cherries grown in Utah were lost to heavy rains and hail in the past month.
The weather also ruined watermelon and cantaloupe and caused fungus to grow on half of the apricots and peaches grown in Box Elder County.
The damage means that farmers will have less fruit to sell this summer and at discounted prices.
