Search underway for fleeing man in Sevier County

Police have released the names of the two suspects in the chase from Salina to Joseph.

Alexus Williams was arrested Tuesday evening following a short search by officers. She was booked into the Sevier County Jail.

Askari Williams from Georgia was arrested Wednesday morning after an all-night search by police ended in the reserve in Joseph. Williams was treated in the Sevier Valley Hospital for bumps and bruises following his arrest.

10:35 a.m.

Police now have the man who they’ve been searching for in custody. Officials searched for the man throughout the night and followed him into the reserve in Joseph Wednesday morning.

The man’s name has not yet been released.

Police are searching for a man on the run in Joseph after a high-speed chase.

They’re looking for a black male about 6”5.

Police advise to keep doors and cars locked as they continue their search.

The chase began in Selina Tuesday evening. Two people fled the car in the median in Joseph and fled on foot. One women was arrested shortly after the search began.

Officials believe the car was stolen.
