Ephraim City has selected a new police chief. Aaron Broomhead was chosen from a field of 13 applicants and is replacing Ron Rasmussen, who recently retired. Broomhead brings with him 18 years of service with the Salt Lake City Police Department and has experience as a patrol officer, gang detective, and was a member of the SWAT team and training unit. Broomhead was hired on December 1 and was sworn in as Ephraim’s new chief at the Ephraim City Council meeting on Wednesday, December 6.

According to City Manager Brant Hanson, the incoming Police Chief will be responsible for continuing the community’s high level of policing services, while keeping Ephraim City’s traditional values.
