UPDATE – The two boys have been located in Iron County during a police raid, according to Spring City Police Chief Clarke Christensen.

The two girls are still missing. Police are looking for the girls using helicopters in the city and an Amber Alert is expected to go out Monday afternoon.

SPRING CITY, Utah (AP) — Police in a central Utah community of Spring City are looking for four children following the arrest of their father.

Spring City Police Chief Clarke Christensen tells KSL-TV the children, their father and paternal grandparents disappeared in mid-September. He says John Coltharp was arrested Friday on suspicion of kidnapping and has refused to disclose the children’s location.

Christensen says relatives of the Coltharps told police they may have left to join “a fundamentalist group.”

Christensen says Coltharp was arrested at the family’s abandoned Spring City home.

The children’s mom has divorced Coltharp since the disappearance and has been granted full custody of Dinah, William, Seth and Haddie Coltharp.

Coltharp is at the Sanpete County Jail. Records do not list an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
