RICHFIELD, Utah-Brady Arbon posted 15 points and the Grantsville Cowboys shot 58 percent from the field in a 65-48 win over Manti Saturday at the Central Utah preview at the Sevier Valley Center. Kole Brailsford had a game-high 16 points in defeat for the Templars.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Cade Russell posted 20 points while making 8 of his 16 shots as the Morgan Trojans blasted North Sevier 67-31 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center during the Central Utah preview. Kody Christensen’s 10 points led the Wolves in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Brodee Tebbs’ 17 points led the way as the South Sevier Rams pounded Enterprise 71-45 Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center as part of the Central Utah preview. The Wolves led 19-14 after the 1st Quarter but the Rams took complete control with a 21-5 run in the 3rd Quarter and never looked back en route to a 4-0 start to the season. Chasen Truman had 16 points in the loss for the Wolves.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Joshua Thalman made the game-winning 3-pointer in the closing seconds and the Richfield Wildcats edged Hurricane 51-50 during the Central Utah Preview at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Hunter Peterson’s 15 points led the Wildcats. In defeat, Hurricane’s Jackson Last posted 26 points and 8 rebounds on 8-17 shooting, cementing himself as the game’s best overall player, albeit in a losing effort.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Ethan Boettcher had 16 points and the Cedar Redmen downed Juab 63-52 at the Sevier Valley Center during the Central Utah Preview Saturday. Alex White had 14 points in defeat for the Wasps.

CEDAR CITY, Utah-Damion Squire, Mady Sissoko and Matt Bradley had 13 points apiece as the Wasatch Academy Tigers downed Apollo (Ariz.) 85-50 at the America First Event Center Saturday.

EUREKA, Utah-David Whitney’s 16 points led the way and the Tintic Miners stymied Escalante 73-32 Saturday in non-region boys basketball action. Dayson Barnson had 16 points in the loss for the Moquis.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Colby Taylor stepped up with 22 points and the Wayne Badgers pounded West Ridge 100-32 Saturday at the Buffalo Stampede at Valley High School. Will Adams had 9 points in the loss for the Eagles.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Nathaniel Houston led the way with 17 points as the Kanab Cowboys edged Valley 64-63 in overtime at the Buffalo Stampede Saturday. Garrett Spencer had 25 points in the loss for the Buffaloes.

GARLAND, Utah-Jalen Sorensen and Shawn Taylor had 12 points apiece and the North Sanpete Hawks downed Class 6-A Hunter 57-54 Saturday at the Bear River Winter Classic at Bear River High School. Daisean Cash had 11 points in the loss for the Wolverines.

Girls Basketball

GUNNISON, Utah-Hannah Owen had 18 points and Grand bested Gunnison 38-27 in non-region girls basketall action Saturday. Jaida King had 11 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.

EUREKA, Utah-Ashley Holden’s 16 points led the Tintic Miners as they downed Escalante 44-20 Saturday in non-region girls basketball action. Lilly Steed had 10 points in the loss for the Moquis.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Emma Jones amassed 17 points and Abigail Woolsey added 15 as the Richfield Wildcats edged Logan 45-38 Saturday at the Desert Hills Holiday Classic in non-region girls basketball action Saturday. Amber Kartchner had 17 points in defeat for the Grizzlies.

VERNAL, Utah-Manuely De Oliviera led the way with 22 points and the Wasatch Academy Tigers downed Uintah 53-42 at the Shannon Johnson Classic Saturday.
