(Washington, DC) — Utah Congresswoman Mia Love is pushing legislation to end the use of taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment lawsuits involving members of Congress.

While introducing her proposal, the three-term congresswoman said lawmakers settling any kind of harassment or discrimination lawsuit should be paying from their own pockets.

Under the same proposal, victims would no longer have to agree to sign a nondisclosure agreement if they choose to settle, meaning the names of the lawmakers would be made public.
