Boys Basketball

RICHFIELD, Utah-Matt Nelson posted 17 points and 12 rebounds as the Manti Templars bested Enterprse 67-55 Friday at the Sevier Valley Center at the Central Utah season preview. Chasen Truman had 21 points and 6 boards on 9-16 shooting for the Wolves.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Taylor Tobler posted 15 points and the Pine View Panthers outlasted Richfield 49-43 at the Sevier Valley Center Friday at the Central Utah season preview. Morgan Albrecht’s 12 points led the Wildcats in defeat.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Tyson Chisholm posted 15 points and 8 rebounds as the South Sevier Rams downed Hurricane 52-45 Friday at the Central Utah season preview at the Sevier Valley Center. The Rams took control with a 16-8 run in the 3rd Quarter and never looked back. Jackson Last’s 16 points and 10 rebounds led the Tigers in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Kayleb Squire posted 14 points, making 5 of 9 shots, including 4 of 7 from range as he provided a hot hand off the bench in a 54-39 win for Juab over North Sevier Friday at the Sevier Valley Center during the the Central Utah season preview. Burke Mickelsen had 14 points in the loss for the Wolves.

BEAVER, Utah-Taten Leech stepped up with 18 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs got past Beaver 62-57 in overtime Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Davis Heslington had a game-high 27 points in defeat for the Beavers.

PAROWAN, Utah-Jace Eyre’s 17 points led the way as the Panguitch Bobcats stonewalled Parowan 38-26 in non-region boys basketball action Friday. Porter Wood had 12 points in the loss for the Rams.

GARLAND, Utah-Jalen Sorensen netted 14 points as the North Sanpete Hawks clobbered North Summit 57-36 at the Bear River Winter Classic Friday at Bear River High School. Hayden Blonquist had 14 points in the loss for the Bears.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Garrett Spencer amassed 23 points, helping the Valley Buffaloes wallop West Ridge 75-46 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Will Adams stepped up with 20 points in the loss for the Eagles.

DUGWAY, Utah-TJ Ramos netted 22 points and the Dugway Mustangs pounded Escalante 66-48 Friday in non-region boys basketball action. Dayson Barnson posted 16 points in the loss for the Moquis.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Parker Collins led the way with 15 points and the Kanab Cowboys bested Wayne 62-53 in non-region boys basketball action Friday at the Buffalo Stampede at Valley High School. Garrett Chappell’s 17 points paced the Badgers in defeat.

Girls Basketball

GUNNISON, Utah-Paige King’s 11 points led the way as the Gunnison Bulldogs routed Rockwell 66-24 in non-region girls basketball action Friday. Desiree Dipo had 10 points in defeat for the Marshals.

COALVILLE, Utah-Kennday McQueen netted 21 points and the North Summit Braves pounded Juab 43-17 Friday in non-region girls basketball action. Hannah Robins had 13 points in the loss for the Wasps.

PAYSON, Utah-Abbie Jensen’s 10 points led the way as the Payson Lions routed Manti 45-25 in non-region girls basketball action Friday. Auri Squire had 10 points in defeat for the Templars.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Emma Jones posted 16 points and the Richfield Wildcats downed Box Elder 47-45 at Desert Hills High School Friday during the Desert Hills Holiday Classic. Andreanna McKee netted 12 points in defeat for the Bees.

VERNAL, Utah-Manuely De Oliviera’s 17 points helped the Wasatch Academy Tigers rout Duchesne 58-34 Friday at the Shannon Johnson Tournament at Uintah High School.
