130 participants ran, walked, and jogged in honor of nurse Shauna Allen, who passed away earlier this year. The walk was in support of trauma victims and their families and was sponsored by Sanpete Valley Hospital.

Proceeds from the race will go to the Sanpete Valley Hospital Foundation to be used for new emergency equipment and continuing trauma education for ER caregivers.

Shauna, who was an avid runner and a registered nurse at the hospital, used to encourage and motivate her patients to attend races and would make comments like a runner to them, such as “We brought up the rear but we made it”.

The Sanpete Valley Hospital would like to thank all of those who supported them in this event and who participated.
