Bees Turn Back Dodgers; Owlz Win, Raptors Lose

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Salt Lake Bees turned back the Oklahoma City Dodgers, 5-1, in the opener of a four-game series at Smith’s Ballpark. Michael Hermosillo hit a two-run homer for Salt Lake, which improved to 59-and-56. Daniel Wright tossed five innings of one-run ball to move to 6-and-7. The series continues tonight.

Elsewhere in minor league baseball, Stephen Kerr’s RBI single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Owlz a 2-1 win over the Helena Brewers in Orem. The Owlz are 32-and-12. The Voyagers outslugged the Ogden Raptors 15-10 in Great Falls. The Raptors fell to 27-and-18 on the year.
