Central Utah Car Chase Leads To Lengthy Search And Eventual Arrests

The Unified Police Department is continuing an investigation into the theft of a vehicle that began on Wednesday.

Deputies from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office, Juab County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle pursuit initiated by the highway Patrol in Juab County. The vehicle drove southbound in the northbound lane more than once during the pursuit. The vehicle left the freeway at Scipio and went south onto Highway 50 and soon became disabled as it drove along the Gap Road.

Three females fled on foot and K-9 units and a helicopter aided in a lengthy search in the mountains. All three suspects were found.

The vehicle had been reported stolen out of the Salt Lake area and the license plate on the vehicle was also stolen.
