Baseball

KEARNS, Utah (AP)-Ty Hill belted three hits and two RBI while Parx Bartholomew earned the win on the mound as the Gunnison Bulldogs won the 2-A state baseball championship with a 9-4 win over Grand Saturday at Kearns High School. Drew Hill, Gage Mogle, Jaden Mayne and Kyle Peterson also had doubles in the win for the Bulldogs.

KEARNS, Utah (AP)-Bruin Meador tripled and doubled as the Grand Red Devils stymied Kanab 9-5 at Kearns High School Saturday to advance to the 2-A state title game.

Softball

NEPHI, Utah (AP)-Taylei Williams went yard twice and earned the win in the circle as the Juab Wasps pounded Hurricane 10-0 Saturday in the first round of the 3-A state softball tournament. Juab next faces Ridgeline Thursday at 1:00 pm at the Spanish Fork Complex.

GARLAND, Utah (AP)-Catherine Lund won the game with a walk-off two-run homer as the North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Snow Canyon 13-11 in the first round of the 3-A state softball tournament at Bear River High School Saturday. North Sanpete will face Bear River Thursday at 1:00 pm at the Spanish Fork Complex.
