The 170-mile Sigurd to Red Butte transmission line is scheduled for completion one year from now. Rocky Mountain Power filed initial permits in December 2008, and construction has been ongoing since May 2013. The 345 kilovolt line is slated for completion in June 2015.

There are still some remaining towers to be built on the north end of the line, as well as line to be strung. Compression of splices between Richfield and Elsinore is also being completed, possibly causing some loud noises. Additional reclamation activities will continue through the next year. Crews will likely remain in the Richfield area until the work finishes at that time.
