Hurricane man arrested after pickaxe threats

A man was arrested by Hurricane City Police Thursday evening after threatening others with a weapon. According to St. George News, Hurricane City Police officers responded to a report of a man threatening the lives of multiple people with a pickaxe. Hurricane City Police Sgt. Brandon Buell told St. George News that the man left the area where he had been threatening people and went to a residence in the area of 300 South and 200 West. Officers soon located him and after 45 minutes was able to taken the man into custody. He was booked into the Washington County Purgatory Correctional Facility on multiple charges related to domestic violence and aggravated assault, as well as weapon and drug charges, according to St. George News.
