The Utah Highway Patrol reported that two people sustained critical injuries Thursday morning in a semi-trailer rollover in Spanish Fork Canyon. Fox13 News reports that the crash occurred around 5:50 near mile marker 186, which is near the Thistle Junction of S.R. 6 and Highway 89. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce told Fox13 that the semi-trailer rolled and went down an embankment into a gully. Royce said the truck was traveling west and hauling two trailers at the time of the crash, which forced UHP to close S.R. 6 in both directions for about 20 minutes as two medical helicopters were flown in to transport the victims. Fox13 reports that both victims were occupants of the semi-trailer and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
