Cedar City fire investigators believe that a hot iron caused a house fire that lead to the death of 92-year-old woman. Fire Capt. Travis Douglas told The Salt Lake Tribune that Hazel Bulloch died at her home Sunday. Authorities say the flames from the fire were so intense that rescuers were enable to enter the home when they first responded about 6:30 p.m. Cedar City Police Sgt. Jimmy Roden said it took crews about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze. According to The Salt Lake Tribune it will be another week or two before the medical examiner released results of the pending autopsy for Bulloch.
