Long Lines Expected at Zions Over Weekend

Zion National Park Personnel are informing visitors to expect longer than normal lines this weekend. The park says spring breaks and the Zion Half Marathon will likely lead to high visitation meaning quite a bit more traffic. With park shuttle service not starting until April 1, canyon roads are likely to get crowed with vehicles. Park managers are implementing traffic control on the weekends to accommodate for extra cars. Measures could include one to two hour periodic closures at the turn off onto the Scenic Drive from Highway 9. Cars parked illegally will be cited.
