The 28th annual Scouting for Food Drive is this weekend. Boy Scouts are hoping to collect 1 million meals statewide. The drive will help fill the shelves of the Utah Food Bank and food pantries statewide including Central Utah Food Sharing in Richfield, which serves all of central Utah.
Residents are expected to receive bags before Saturday morning and are asked to fill the bags with commercially packaged, nonperishable food items and place them on their front doors by 8 a.m. Saturday. Perishable food and food packaged in glass cannot be accepted.
