Two Cow Elk Poached Near Otter Creek

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has reported that two cow elk have been poached in Piute County. on March 8, DWR received reports of two poached elk on the Kingston Canyon Wildlife Management area located 2.5 miles west of Otter Creek Reservoir. Conservation officers investigated the reports and found the cow elk lying a few hundred yards off of highway 22. Both cow elk had been shot and left to waste. Anyone with information related to the illegal killings of these animals is encouraged to call the UTiP hotline at 1-800-662-3337. Rewards are available and requests for confidentiality are respected.
