A Moab man is facing four federal charges in connection to the theft of a dinosaur footprint from a trail in Moab. A grand jury indicted 35-year-old Jared Ehlers yesterday on charges of removing paleontological resources, theft of government property, depredation of government property and destruction of evidence. Authorities believe Ehlers lifted the Allosaurus track from an area near the Hell’s Revenge trail last month and then tossed the track into the Colorado River. Authorities are still searching for the missing track.
