ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP)-Per the official Twitter of St. George News, Wednesday afternoon, a motorist lost control of her vehicle, resulting in an accident.

According to St. George Police officer Chad Pectol, a gray Hyundai Accent was traveling southbound on Red Hills Parkway when the woman took her eyes off the road and her car veered off the side of the road.

Next, the car hit a speed limit sign and slid sideways off the road into the embankment, Pectol confirmed.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, Pectol stated, while he also confirmed a small dog was in the car, but not injured.
