Legislation Would Feed More Of Utah's Homeless

Advocates for Salt Lake City’s homeless community say new legislation would allow people on the streets to be fed a proper meal. A bill awaiting final action by the Utah Senate would exempt volunteers from a current requirement for them to have a food handler’s permit to feed the homeless. One City homeless shelter says it couldn’t distribute nearly six-thousand meals due to the City’s rules.
