A 40-year-old man was flown by helicopter to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center Tuesday morning following a two care collision on highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon. UHP Sgt. Todd Royce told The Salt Lake Tribune that details on the accident were still being investigated, but it did appear snow and slush may have been factors. The accident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. near the Tucker Bridge. Three other people received unknown injuries in the accident. Highway 6 was closed shortly after the accident. As of 11:45 a.m., all westbound lanes were closed in the area, while eastbound lanes were open to alternating traffic.
