Prescribed Fire Planned Near Antimony

Interagency fire and fuels personnel along with Bureau of Land Management plan to conduct a prescribed burn in the Antimony area. The project is located in Garfield County, in the Deep Creek and Dry Hollow drainages. The burn area is approximately 4 miles southwest of Antimony, with the project expected to begin on Monday, March 10. Exact dates will depend on favorable environmental conditions. Those who plan to visit the area during the burn project may be subject to smoke impacts and temporary road and trail closures. This prescribed fire plan is approximately 1,120 acres.
