Commission Reviewing Recidivism Rate

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The state’s Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice is trying to keep prison from being a revolving door. The rate of prisoners who end up back behind bars is 50-percent. The commission is starting to look at every area of crime and punishment in the state. There’s been discussion about moving the prison and that decision process is expected to get underway today.
