Boy Scout Leader Rescued in Canyonlands National Park

A Boy Scout leader from Castle Rock, Colorado was injured during a hike in the Canyonlands National Park. The man tried to free himself after he got stuck in a crevasse, and he slipped and twisted his arm. The 29 year old Wayne Joseph South Jr. was rescued on Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. by both Garfield and Wayne Counties Search and Rescue teams, along with officials with the Department of Public Safety. The accident occurred in the Horseshoe Canyon.
