(Carson City, NV) — Some of Nevada’s bighorn sheep are moving to a new location. Starting today, as many as 50 sheep will be captured from an area northeast of Las Vegas. They will be released in Utah’s Glen Canyon. The Nevada Department of Wildlife says the move will help Utah restore the bighorn sheep to “historic habitats” where herds have dwindled. A similar capture and release effort took place in October 2012.
