Ruby Inn Near Bryce Hurting From Shutdown

It’s now the third day of the government shutdown, and businesses that rely on visitors to Utah’s national parks are already feeling the affects of the shutdown. Visitors had to turn around on Wednesday after they found out that Bryce Canyon was closed. Ruby’s Inn owner Rod Syrett had to just watch them go. Ruby Inn has already received hundreds of cancellations and lost tens of thousands of dollars in planned revenue. If businesses like Ruby Inn continue to lose that kind on money, layoffs may be just around the corner.
