(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Salt Lake City-area eye doctor is getting national recognition for his work with the Himalayan Cataract Project. Dr. Geoffrey Tabin was featured on ABC World News last night for his work in Ethiopia. Tabin and the group’s team conducted more than 700 cataract surgeries, granting sight back to locals who had suffered without it. The area where Tabin was working has one of the highest rates of blindness in the world.
