Heavy Rain Causes I-15 Crash

Heavy rain is considered to be a factor in a crash between two vehicles near the mile post 19 on I-15 yesterday morning. The collision was minor and no one had to be taken to the hospital. The accident happened when a car was traveling north behind a semitrailer and had poor visibility from the spray that was being kicked up by the semi’s back tires. The car then attempted to pass the semi and hit a puddle and hydroplaned. The car was then rear-ended by another car. Northbound traffic was limited to one lane for a short period. All lanes were reopened before 11:00 a.m. Rain continues to come throughout Utah and drivers are warned to drive safe and be cautious on the roads.
