(Uintah County, UT) — A hunter in Uintah County is lucky to be alive after a near-fatal goring over the weekend by the elk he just bagged. Authorities say Bradley Greenwood accidentally punctured his own neck with the antler of an elk he killed hunting in Diamond Mountain outside Vernal. Authorities say the antler plunged into the hunter’s neck but somehow he called for help. They say if rescue workers hadn’t assisted Greenwood to breathe so quickly he likely wouldn’t have survived.
